If I were you Id just keep an eye on the classifieds section here. I havent been on much lately, but there used to sometimes be someone looking to trade their chipped ECU for a stock ECU+cash. AEB chipped ECU's should be pretty easy to find around here. You might end up spending the same amount for that chip+finding someone to solder it to your ECU.I wouldnt trust just anyone with that job either...

ok its actually 2 questions

1 how can i tell if my engine is type AEB

2 my car has a brand new engine in it, replaced by an audi dealer, i was just wondering if all a4 motors say s4 on it or did they put an s4 motor in my car? picture:

Dude, an S4 engine is a 6 cylinder bi-turbo... you have a 4 cylinder with one turbo!

Audi replacement engines often don't have an engine code in the normal spot. The tag is usually blank, I'm not sure why they do this.

Remember when you were a n00b tweaked? Are you able to remember THAT far back? Or did you fall out of your mom's vagina with a k03 in one hand and a tq. wrench in the other? [8D]

Sometimes I forget I've been working on Porsche, Audi, and VWs for almost 5 years. I've been a certified car junkie for years. It's an addiction.
