Jeckel, for a little encouragement, I was a longtime Z32 owner as well. It takes only a little longer to do an entire timing job on an A4 than it does to get to the t-belt and remove it on a VG30. It's a much easier job too - no worries on having the passenger exhaust cam spin when belt tension is removed like on the Z. It's a piece of cake comparatively.
