Audi a4
Attachment 39348
Materials:
-two large sheets of aluminum
-Jig saw with appropriate blade!!
-tin snips
-High heat resistant glue/epoxy
-Thermal/Heat reflective pad
-Fuel or Insulated Air line tubing for the top molding
-BEER
-Patience
-Cardboard (to make all you templates)
This was super easy to do and is quite function-able. You'd be surprised how much of a difference in heat than before. You can spend a few hundred on the shield if you really want, but if your bored and have an hour to kill then just make it.
I also cut the shape of the stock air duct into my shield in order to force colder air down and into my aluminum box.
WARNING: If your not into the sound of your diverter valve every time you shift do not proceed because the is a significant difference in the loudness of the stock "BOV"
Thanks, good luck, and let me know if you want a bunch of close ups of the actual box i made.

Thanks for the photo, cool idea. Of course, a do-it-yourself system will impress. I'll have to do this to myself. In my car dodge, the car is quite powerful and the heat dissipation system is quite important. There is an intercooler 5.9 cummins intercooler upgrade that allows maximum heat dissipation. But I will of course take your invention into account.
