Hey guys. Just some questions about the springs. HiWords, your keeping the stock shocks that you have on your car right now and just adding S4 springs? How much will it lower the car? Are there any other benifits to the S4 springs besides a lower ride?

What write up do you use for the installation? I've had some s4 springs that I got for free laying around that I have been debating on installing or not.. I haven't found any good instructions so I haven't been too motivated to just do it. If no write up, wanna make one?

The procedure is straightforward. Use the DIYs for installing coilovers available on other Audi sites, for removing your strut/spring assemblies, and then just swap the springs onto the struts.
The S4s are going onto the A4 struts. I've been running this combo since springtime with zero problems. The ride height is essentially the same - my car came down about a finger-width. But the car feels much tighter, rides more firmly, responds to direction changes more quickly, and handles better overall. Its road feel is greatly improved with these springs as compared to the A4 springs.
Keep in mind that Hiwords and I have 2.8L cars. If you have a 1.8T, you're probably going to end up with more fender gap with the S4 springs than with your own springs, as the S4 springs are designed to carry significantly more weight than those on a 1.8T. The 2.8 is very close in front-end weight to the S4, so it's not an issue on our cars.
