yep its on this forum you can do the v8 swap 2 people already have and imthedevil is getting ready to do it

 

its not really a matter of money, its a matter of ability. there is no exhaust manifold out there that you can buy so you will have to fabricate that yourself or find someone to do it. then you will need to get a custom tune because there will be no off the shelf program that will work.

its really exponentially more work then necessary just to have a one-off car. the widebody thing is fine, if you have the money thats not hard to bolt on some RS4 parts, or if you have the skill to fab them yourself. but if you are only looking for 350ish whp there are bolt on kits that will get you there without the headache, time or expense.

you're right it would be a waste of money to do that, just thought it would be awesome to try, still wont knock it till I try it, but how would u propose i get a 500 bhp 1.8 engine with good power across most of the band?
