certainly or eBay. what year is your car exactly? Click the link I attached previously and you should have all the information you need.

i have a 98.
i tried the link but it was an ended auction or whatever.

i'm kinda thinking about maybe just putting a single din in there. although the facelift dash is awesome, idk if i'm going to be able to afford a sick audio system, and then if anything mechanically goes wrong then i'm stuck in my driveway with a dvd player. lol
maybe i should just save up for a newer audi, or go to the 1.8T and mod the bitch.

I don't know what link you clicked on but here you go again:

You have a 98 so everything in this DIY will work for you (the guy who is doing the swap in the DIY has a 98 as well). This is by NO means a difficult swap. I've got all but one piece and have only spent $200. All you are doing is replacing the old with the new. The extra wiring in the DIY is only if you want to illuminate the cup holder and the use the cigarette lighter, and to illuminate the HVAC controls. Minor wiring at best.

If you ask me, it is entirely worth the conversion because of the better DVD player application. There is something I just don't like about a pop-out DVD player. Your decision though. Let me know if you need any other pointers.

if i think about it, if i got a pop out dvd player i'd probably end up breaking it by jamming out to music and hittin it or something. :/
maybe i'll just spend the money and get something worth while.
and i will definitely ask questions if i need them. thanks

alright, so instead of doing the whole dash conversion, which is sweet and all but i will never be able to afford anything else i want ahha, i found an awesome deal on a nice deck, that comes with 2 speakers for 220 bucks
along with free shipping, free hardware, and a free installation kit.

alpine CDA 105 http://www.crutchfield.com/s_500CDA1...5.html?tp=5684
along with 2 alpine speakers.
hell of a deal? i think so.

yes this is good.

OP if u want to put a double din radio into your single din like the 1st picture you posted, thats not going to happen. you need to swap out the center console. i did its easy if you take your time. i still have the stock radio, but its still just the point.
