I think its better to get it done, all at once. stock speakers are old on our cars, upgrading is recommended, when upgrading the radio, stock speakers won't do your new head unit justice.

The sound is wicked on my audio setup, the sound system, only sounds as good as the speakers you have installed.

I think you should save up for everything, don't do it with only 1 component, wait till you get everything, then install it. I waited til i got everything i needed,i held on to my AVH-P4200DVD for 2 months, before installing it. so i can buy 4 pioneer speakers,2 amps and a sub woofer. it all worked out as i installed everything at once and ready to bang my system, while driving through the beach.

very true, how much would you say you have into your stereo

minus the subs/amp for the sub.
just so i know what i'm getting my self into haha.

i was thinking of getting coil overs, or maybe a new exhaust but this might overtake my priorities because i hate the way my music sounds and that i have my ipod hooked up through the cassette player...

lol thats how i had mine hooked up before well...the AVH-P4200DVD was 500.00 alone. then the 4 speakers were 170.00,installation was 180.00 double din Radio dash kit was 22.00,a local car stereo shop had one, which was perfect timing,i was going to order one via ebay,so i saved in shipping.

wire harness with RCA plugs for the amp was 30.00 it came up to almost 1 grand, total but it was saved up for 2 months.

here is my youtube video of it installed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRDqngX2ZY4

alright just gives me an idea.

thats going to take a while for a 16 year old kid lol.

i might save up for the HU, buy it and then it will give me motivation to save up for all the other components

and i need to buy subs yet too. :/

http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...Console-Thread

This is EVERYTHING you need to know about pulling off a double din setup.

You need to do more than just a "dash kit". You need a new radio cage and console surround as the mounting points are entirely different from what your setup is. Read through the link I provided and you can see the difference.

After you have the pieces necessary to do the swap, then you can buy that "dash kit" to finish off the install.

I have a JVC KW-AVX820 double-din and I absolutely love it. I like it cause it has a detachable face for when I have to leave the car outside in a shitty neighborhood, vacation etc...

or is there a site where i could order parts?
