I havent seen any ko3 or ko3s go for more than $250 and thats with maybe 30k miles. If you havent, look on vwvortex.com and audizine.com for a used turbo. But seriously, you wont have any problems, the difference is way to small

Wont be a problem seeing that there is this little thing called a MAF sensor on the car.

ORIGINAL: ryansonfire

gpops turn around time is like 4 weeks, i can't go that long with out a car. also my turbo is not rebuildable. and if i'm too cheap to buy a k03s then why would i buy a k04? i'm just asking if anybody knows for a fact that it wouldn't work, and not speculation
i understand you are looking to go cheap, but a gpopshop turbo is a rebult ko3 to ko4 specs

they don't make you send yours before getting theres, you just have to send your "core" to get the cheaper price

That is for a transverse engine. Meaning GTI/Jetta/FWD TT

Yeah that one wont work since it has a different outlet for the compressor housing and a 4 bolt discharge on the turbine housing, our K03 has a 3 bolt flange.
