Default Dont shoot me!!!

I am looking at getting a dv/bov... Now b4 The fire from within comes flying through the keyboard at me I have a few questions... But first yes i have read all or majority of all other bov/dv posts and i know a bov throws off the maf. It gives a false reading to the maf and then tells the injectors to release fuel to your engine which over time will F$*% up the engine...
So with that in mind... I am a fan of the pshhhh but i dont want to screw over my car (2000 A4 1.8TQ TIP--mods in the mail are--- Cone air filter (already installed), FMIC, Greddy TT, EVI systems package podi boost guage when it comes out) and manual boost controller...

As of right now I am looking at getting either a forge 004 dv..

or a HKS SSQV BOV check it out http://www.alteredatmosphere.com/mm5...Category_Code=

now reading up on this it seems like a dv and it wont effect the maf... also it says to have no boost... Will the HKS SSQV BOV work fine and properly???

Which should i go with??

Whats a good hybrid valve???

Go ahead attack tell me everything I Dont know- im a newb...

Its Appreciated

you need chaos or cincytt to chime in for sure but I think the Forge 004 and also one of the HKs can work just fine for our cars. Give you the big ol Psssssssh, and wont FUBAR the engine

I've got a 004 on my b6 and it works OK, also HKS SSQV should be fine, cause it is in a closed position at idle.
You might run richafter installtill you rECU will "accept" it ))

both will work, but the 004 is a better bov for the 1.8t.

Also, if you really searched, you would of known that by now.

Audiprotein__How long usually does it take for the ecu to "accept" it.. bout a week?

Mr. Cap__I did away with the box and have the maf running to a filter it does pshhh when i release the throttle... Im not that worried about a little leak in boost or I would run strong with a dv with no question but if i was that worried about it id have a manual!!

I dunno, i guess it is different.
I dont know exactly how long it took me. When i just installed that, about 10 min later my exhaust got really louder/deeper (in a good way), then i think it got a little bit quiter or maybe i just got used to.
From what i've heard, usually takes a couple of days.
