ya pretty much normal. my car makes even more sounds lol. spray some wd on the pulley bearings and it'll help a little. it's mostly your water pump and cam chain tensioners

thanks for the reply..i feel reassured now..quick question tho..because of the sound coming from the water pump and tensioner, might you say it could use replacing to lower the noise?

ha i noticed that too with mine...i can only imagine it having to do with the camshaft or like hiwords said cam chain tesnsioners. after long highway drives, it doesnt seem as loud though.

replacing exactly the parts i listed. the water pump is cheap the tensioners are not cheap at all. idk how much it is for the 12v engine but for the 30v, they're about 500 a piece. i can't imagine it being much different price for the 12v though. just tell the buy that they are buying a car that's over a decade old lol

lolz the car is not forsale no more..had alittle bit of an overheating issue earlier today so thats the cause of the car not being sold(my decision). so i just decided to fix the problem and keep it. but i will keep that in mind tho about the tensioners..thats pretty dam spendy. thanks again.

yup same here. i'd gonna be doing a timing belt job this summer so hopefully that quiets it down a little but i'm pretty sure my sounds are def coming from the tensioners
