I have pulled the radio, disconnected the battery, and pulled fuses. Not once in the 14 months with the car has it asked for a radio code.

Anyone else have this going on?

 

Mine works without the code and has never asked for one even after having the battery disconnected for about a week.

I'm the third owner and did not receive an owner's manual. I knew I was going to have to do some maintenance that would require disconnecting the battery so I did some extensive research into how to get the radio code. Sometimes it can be found on the tag in the spare tire well, or actually written on the tag on the top of the radio itself. When I pulled the radio there was some writing on the tag on top of it that lead me to believe that it was not the original radio that came in the car.

 

When I had a stock head unit (concert) it never asked for one.

 

I have the concert unit and it has never asked me for the code either, eventhough I have it in my manual.

 

I have disconnected my battery alot of time's and never had the radio ask me for a code.
