damn man the racetec is $900 and evoms is $1000! I'm trying to stay in the low cost range like $500 or less. I'm guessing there aren't any... well looks like I'm going for ebay then. do you think this would be a good core for the a4 bumper, its 2" thick: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...d=200424807874
That core might work. YOu will just have to make your own mounting brackets.

Damn Mike, if you could find another builder for those B5 kits I think they'd be flyin off your shelf...

I thought so too which is why I was trying to get these guys to make one, but that turned into a huge FAIL on their end. I would actually love to find another person or company that would be willing to make a low cost FMIC for the A4 1.8t that was in the $400-$600 range.

I just went out and measured the clearance between the A/C cooler and the steel bumper reinforcement: it LESS than 2.5 inches !!! I will not cut into the bumper structure.
Do they all tuck it UNDER the steel bumper? Then, there would be plenty of space (just plastic to cut).

Did you measure the bumper support just in the center or out near the bumper shocks?

I was dealing with someone that said they were going to make a B5 version of the B6 kit they were selling, but they flaked and I haven't heard from him for 2 months. Just too much lying about it being shipped to me and then nothing.
