So i've got my car apart right now. I need a new ps pump, ps cooler, and main accessory and a/c belts. I'm getting the belts from the stealership, ps pump off a used car, so now i just need to do the ps cooler. The dealer wants 100, eff that, and i can get one used for 30 or from 034 for 30. but then i got to thinking, why dont i just make my own? in reality its just a bent pipe connecting to 2 hoses. and thats the only part that's messed up.
So my question is, where can i find a hollow 8mm (5/16th) pipe? and is there a certain material the pipe has to be made out of? or any material i should stay away from?

i would pick up a small tranny fluid cooler from a local auto store (pep boys, auto zone, etc.) They can be used to cool any fluid really and can be front mounted. They are really easy to hook up and you can mount them to the front of your radiator. I got mine for the A4 for $35 I think.
