Default DIY day teaser...

I'm half way into my boost gauge install, and I have the car all ripped apart. Just when it's time to start drilling some holes, I realize the battery to my cordless drill is dead, so I'm somewhat at a stand still until the battery charges up. I decided to go with a left center vent mount, and I recessed it a bit so it doesn't stick out so much. So far, so good. I'll throw up a few pics once it's done.

Also, my new HID lights should be here soon, so once I get the gauge done, it's time to upgrade my lights... pics to follow once that is done of course!

What are you drilling holes in? Their should be only one hole to drill in the vent.

I drilled a hole in the plastic piece where the throttle cable goes second (front) firewall, and a hole in the vent.

The set up is complete, and it looks pretty good, but the damn gauge is broke. The needle moves, as it should, but when the engine is off, the needle reads ~18 inches Hg, then when the engine is at idle, the needle pegs out at the bottom (below 25 in Hg) and at max boost it reads about 5 PSI. So, the needle moves like it should, it's just in the wrong damn position! I'm going to call Glow Shift and see what the deal is...

Well, boost gauge defective, gotta send it back, and put a plug in my giant boost leak I've created by taking the damn gauge back out. Guess this teaser will have everyone waiting for another 6 months, because there is no way they'll have a new one to me before I leave (early Friday morning). Go figure...

No pics, Nick, the gauge is back in the box waiting to be mailed back to NJ. Right now, and for the next 6 months, all I have is a hole in my vent with wires and a plugged tube hanging out. Not very flattering at all...

However, I DID get my HIDs installed without any serious incident, and I will get some pics once it gets dark. Damn those things are bright, and even though they're 6000k, I didn't really pic up a hint of blue. The cut off along the top was pretty defined with my stock projectors, so I'm pretty happy. I couldn't believe how yellow my halogen looked when I tested the first light I installed.

vvme.com, but everyone is saying that ddmtuning.com is a better. I'm pretty happy with my set up, but I just installed it and I'm waiting for it to get dark to check them out.

They did ship my lights the way from China via DHL, and it took about a week to get here.

Hooah
