Diagnostic Test
I have a 2000 a4 1.8t quattro and my check engine light recently came on. I ran a diagnostic on it and it said Secondary Air Injection system incorrect flow detected. The probable cause is a faulty air solenoid valve and/or faulty air pump motor. I believe it may be the turbo but not too sure. If anyone has any feedback or could let me know whats goin on with it. I need HELP!!

I have the same code. Mine is due to a broken hose coming from the SAP. That cel is more annoying than anything, from my understanding it won't hurt your performance at all. The SAP is used for about 30 seconds on a cold start up to ease the flow of exhaust. Look for leaks on the hoses from the SAP.

was the code P0411? If so it's nothing to worry about, just something thats there to pass emissions. You probably have a leak on the air pump. check this threadhttp://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=322710

CEL only come on emission related equipment. so no, its not your turbo.
you have a fault in your sai equipment (probably the pump it self) as I have unhooked all my lines and left the thing electronicly plugged in, and got no codes, as soon as I unplugged the sai pump, i got that same code.
