Defroster
If I let my car sit the snowflake light comes on and the windows clear but as soon as I start driving it goes off and then they fog up and I can't see jack. Its been raining for two days straight so its pretty hard to drive right now since I can barely see out of my windows.

RE: Defroster
Down by the heater controls there is a snowflake button. If I hit that nothing happens it won't stay on. But what I'm saying is that when i have the defroster on if i'm stopped the snowflake appears down on the heater controls and the windows clear, but when i drive it dissapears.

RE: Defroster
When the snowflake button is lit (pre 2000 models) it means the A/C compressor is on and its drying out the window. The engine management WON'T let you use the A/C compressor if its too cold outside so it doesn't freeze up the lines.
The same applies to 2000+ vehicle that get the snowflake icon in the display, if the snowflake is on, the A/C can't be used.

Yea, so i just found my problem. I reached in the back to grab something only to put my hand in a F****ing puddle. The drivers side front is a little damp but the drivers side rear was SOAKED. Any idea where I should check for leaks. Its dark and cold so i'll have to check tomorrow and use the extractor on the carpets.

RE: Defroster
You need to pull up the carpets and use a shop vac to suck all the fluid out of the 4" mat.
Once thats all dried out, check the pillars for water damage, if you see that, its the sunroof leaking. If no water damage is present, the pleanum drain under the battery got clogged up and flooded the compartment through the pollen filter housing. Take out the battery and un-clog it.
Also, check the coolant level, if its low it could be your heater core leaking.

Thanks for the info, Which would be the easiest to fix? I did have the sunroof open yesterday while it stopped raining for a bit so maybe It didn't seal properly? What do i have to unclip to get the carpet up?
