Default Damage Estimates...

Just recently got into an accident that wasn't my fault, but my baby looks hurt pretty bad. It is still drivable but doesn't seem the same, and the ABS lights are going off every time I turn the car on. I was wondering if any of you think it's totaled or fixable. I have to meet with the appraiser and not sure what I should expect. The pics below should explain themselves.

It's a 1998.5 A4 V6 2.8Q (130K miles)

Any tips on what I should say or how I should go about this with the appraiser. I don't even know what the ball park range for damage like this is. One of my friends told me I should be looking at about $4000-4,500. I am really bummed out about the whole situation as this car was really all I had... Thanks in advance.

The upside is that most of the damage looks be on the door panels, which can be replaced/repaired easily compared to damage to the unibody.

I would be most concerned about damage to the B pillar and runner.

IANAP. (I am not an appraiser.)

also a lot of money is going to go into painting as they have to blend it in and paint a couple of parts not just the doors. probably front a rear fenders

That car looks to be the same color as mine, Light Silver Metallic, and I can assure you that paint matching that color is difficult and expensive. Judging by the amount of creased tin on both doors, they're going to need to be replaced, not repaired. The rear quarter panel looks fixable, the inner fender liner looks to be salvageable. I'd be concerned that the B-pillar is still straight though. I dunno man I think this one might be a total loss

I'm sure the insurance will total it out and cut you a check,i would die if that happened to my baby,i know i would get what its worth as i have full coverage on her but i wouldn't want to get a check,i would want her fixed! I get compliments on my 2001 A4 atleast twice a week. I was at mcdonalds, finished eating some fries in the B5 some guy pulls up as i am walking to the garbage to throw away some rubbish and he says,"you man, take care of that car bro, that's a beautiful car,you make me want to get one of those, its mint for a 9 year old card,i see you driving around town all the time,i love that color silver metallic!"

when you get a compliment on your B5,when its time for you to park your A4 for the day,it makes you remember that compliment and look back at it as you walk into your home as to say....damn i have a nice looking car

P.S. I pay 217.00 for a 1997 vw jetta and my 2001 A4 Full coverage on the A4,liability on the vw jetta Nationwide insurance.

How much are you guys paying for your comprehensive? I know it is dependent on a ton of factors, but just curious. I currently only have liability on my A4.

The rest of my car is in pretty good condition. I have major OCD when it comes to my car. I guess I'll just have to wait and see...

Any suggestions on what I should say/bring up to the appraiser...

Thanks
