Custom fiberglass dash gauge cluster
So, needed to make some room for gauges that will be going in soon, but didn't like any of the column, A-pilar, or vent guage options, so i put together this one. Basically extending the stock instrument panel part of the dash out to the middle, (kinda how the old audis were)
making the foam mold
wrap it with duct tape so that it can be reusable and smooth
then wrap that with tin foil so that it is easy to peel the fiberglass off of the mold
Laid down a solid layer and then put down another for reinforcement
dried fiberglass shell
test fit for cuts
Bondo'ed and sanded smooth
wrapped with leather
test fit, should fit 3 guages perfectly, just need to mount it, seal it with some black silicone to tie the edges into the stock dash and then make a face plate for the guages to sit in.

yeah i'm still figuring some things out, because i wanted it to kinda blend in with the rest of the interior, but i have a feeling that i might be asking too much, and suede might be the way to go, because leather is hard to match perfectly, So looks like i'm gonna go buy a ton of bondo, and pull out the entire dash and suede it entirely, so back to the drawing board
