I have a 98 A4 and I find the cup holder useless with anything but two cups I own. Has there been an easy upgrade trade out discovered? Or some way to modify to hold a cup better?

It seems odd for a car that's engineered so well, they'd make such a lame effort where that's concerned.

Maybe it makes you have to buy the Audi hot cup that fits it because it's the only hot cup that fits it.

naw i think cup sizes have just grown since 96 and they said let's just upgrade everything else but that.

 

Audi's don't have well engineered cup holders because back in the fatherland (germany) they didn't drink anything while they drove, so the cupholders didn't really mena much to them and it was an afterthought when they translated the cars to the American market, all german cars don't have good cupholders )if they have any at all) when you go back in the years

this was my lazy fix...I bought an adjustable cupholder at kragen and screwed it over the lame pop up cupholders...lol

it worked phenomenally, I had it in for about 4 months, but I just bought a new center console with the cupholder under the armrest and an uncracked fully functional armrest lid!!!!
