crack in windshield, what should I do?

and db. my brother was without auto glass coverage on his honda and he got his windshield replaced with OEM glass in NY for about 300. Not sure what you can get for it in your locale. but at least that gives you a starter figure.

I'd love to but I work tomorrow. plus i get the sneaking suspiscion you might have a vag-com I could borrow. Im on vacation in about a week and a half. maybe we can work something out then if you have anymore projects planned.

that 3" crack may have came from trying to repair it. you try to force something into a crack and it may cause the crack to spread. Dont believe me try pushing on your windsheild and watch the crack grow and spiderweb. its actually quite amusing if you plan on replacing the windshield anyways.

Was thinking about trying to buy up a windshield from someone parting out their A4 and putting it on to mine for cheaper

just make sure you seal that bad boy up good so it doesn't leak or keep water between the metal and glass. also do it in a place you can keep the windows open. because if you close the doors with the windows closed you can blow the seal on the windshield. or just use the handy dandy auto ups with the audi keys.

okay it was more than a sneaking suspiscion you replied to my central locking thread saying you had one. But still. haha. I didn't even notice til we started talking here. I have the central locking issue and a CEL. and I've been pricing the vag-com. lol.
