But yeah like Mike said, clutch and FMIC were ordered too. I'm hoping to have the clutch put in before the end of the week so I can break it in before I have time to put the rest in. I have been looking at your thread and appreciate the offers for help. I'm sure I'll have questions
You will be fine Jordan. The Elim can make good power, plus your pretty high in elevation where your at.

I remember driving from where your at to Roswell, damn I didn't know I was at 7k+ feet at that little outpost.

Yeah I am at about 6500ft where I live. Its a lot higher than most people expect. How crucial is the break-in period for the clutch and is it a dead set 500 mile period?

once the clutch is in, even if you toss in the turbo too.... just make sure not to romp it too hard off the line..... i drove for 1000 miles for mine

On the FX300 its more about heat cycles then miles, this is because the kevlar material needs to go thru heat cycles to fully cure. So the clutch basically needs plenty of use, stop/go traffic is the best. If you do plenty of fwy driving at 1 speed the clutch isn't really being used. This could take about 1500 miles to break the clutch in, less if you do plenty of street driving. The quickest way to break in a kevlar disk is to do bursts of WOT on the fwy in 5th gear starting at low rpms watching to make sure the clutch doesn't slip too much. But I would only suggest that to someone that needs to have the clutch fully broken in that day to use at the track.

When you first drive the car with the FX300 in you will notice a slight vibration at very low rpms, that vibration will go away as you get closer to the end of the break-in period.

Cool. Thanks for the info guys. I do a good mix of street and hwy driving so hopefully I'll have a good number of miles on it before I can actually put the turbo in.

Problem with putting in a new turbo kit in while doing the break-in period of the clutch is that you dont get to sample the power the new turbo kit has to offer and most people hate taht and have a hard time holding back. lol

So its just better to break-in the clutch then install the turbo kit. During that time you can fill out the form and ship the ECU to have chipped.

That is my thinking exactly lol. I know I will want to get on it once the turbo is in. The clutch is going in tomorrow and luckily (or unluckily) I won't have time to put the turbo in for at least a week.
