couple of problems please help

Default couple of problems please help

my a4 1.8t is getting hot on the freeway ...fluids are good no leaks .. also it is a 5 speed and when im at 3000 rpms in 5th im only going about 70 and at 2200 rpms im going 50 whats with that ? is that normal i think thats why the car is geting hot to keep up on the freeway im at 3500rpms the engine oil gadge is reading 215 i dont know if thats why its getting hot or not but its getting 1 notch past half on the stock gadge if i drop of the rpms it comes back down ..this cant be right the gearing seams wierd

3.5k for 70mph sounds about right. Over heating issues can be due to a fan not kicking on poor coolant, or a valve not opening...

If your temp gauge is good but the oil temp gauge is high you may have a bad oil cooler or sludge blocking flow to the cooler. The RPM at those speeds is right.

isnt 215 kinda high??? I sit between 185 and 200.
