Default cooling flange quick question

Is it possible to pull out the metal pipe from one end by removing the screw that's on top of the engine? I just need to replace the gasket in there, not the one connected to the head.

No problem. Well, today I figured it CAN be done. It's a hell of a lot easier than replacing the whole thing. It just takes a little coordination to slip on the new o-ring while pulling the pipe back at the same time. I really don't understand why it was leaking if the old o-ring looked ok besides some crust around it from the coolant. Oh well, it seems to be leak free for now...
