coolant tank

Default coolant tank

My coolant tank has a **** load of spider cracks in it causing it to leak a bit, Where do you guys get the white ones, all i am finding are the yellow urine coloured tanks.

You can get a B6 coolant tank but make sure the sensor plug on the bottom fits. It should since you have a 2000, but I know for a fact that the 96-99 plug would not.

i think i got mine from ECStuning.com . I had the very same problem. I am replying just to suggest getting the coolant expansion tank cap from ECS for like $5 bucks, i read that its oober common for the black vent valve thing in the middle of it to break off the cap- happened to me.. every time i took the cap off it would leave that thing lodged in the tank and i would have to pry it out with a screwdriver. $0.02

Do you know if the B6 plug can be used in the 96-99? Even if the connector has to be re-pinned to make it work? I'd love to get the white tank in my pre-facelift 99 if at all possible.

The white one is the updated tank. If you get one over the counter from an Audi dealer, it should be the white one.

got mine at ecs...it is bright white and a direct replacement....
