Coolant Leak
I have a 2001 2.8 and Im leaking coolant from behind the drivers side cylinder head and it is evaporating when the engine heats up. Does anyone know where this could be coming from and what parts i would need to fix it?

Hah, I've got a coolant leak from that same crossover tube, but on the front of the passenger side head. I'm going to be tackling this in the next week or so. If you haven't done it yet, I'll try to post up some basic steps that I did.

Most front engine coolant leaks I've found come from the o-ring on part #56 of the diagram. Yes, this is the thermostat cover which requires removing the timing belt, which requires swinging the whole front end out.
This whole process is actually pretty easy and there are many write ups on timing belt changes. Any kind of leak that is deep in on the front will be far easier to locate and fix with the front end swung off the car....

My 2.8 resevoir tends to drop coolant right on top of the driver's side secondary air combination valve on the back of the head. Its the silver looking round valve right below the resevoir. So you see any coolant residue there?
