I'm going to recieve my control arm kit today from FCP Grotan (ebay $250). I'm going to closely compare the ball joint boots to the stock ones, because thats really what the quality boils down to, water/road element prevention. There are a few members with the same kit who are happy.

From what I've seen it's usually the ball joints that fail before the bushings. This was also the case on my car.

Yes you should jack up the hub/upright/shock before you tq. the arms.

I was looking at the fcp kit didn't know it was on ebay for 250 or so less..... but yea its time my right side hits a bump and it sounds like someone is wailing my car with a hammer .... what really sucks is I just had the hubs off 2 months ago for hub bearings sighhhh at least these control arms are quite simpel compaired to other cars I've worked on ....

Let me know your take on the fcp ebay kit when u get it

Well if you don't have squeeking or creaking, and only a bang over bumps, look at your sway bar end link bushings (the C looking things that attatch your control arms to the sway bar).. Those are cheap to replace. You might not need new arms.

Could well be swaybar links as stated, or control arms, or upper strut mounts.

You'd really have to first rule out the control arms before suspecting or investigating a strut mount. If you are replacing the control arms it will be easy enough to check/replace the mount(s) during that process with the shock assembly out of the car. You would need a spring compressor, though.

My car creaks whenever i'm in first gear or i go over a bump.
When i reach high speeds i don't hear it.
Do you think its the suspension?
