Default control arm issues

I'm in the middle of putting in new lower arms on my a4. Its a 97. The right side went great but the left is giving me problems with the inside bolt clearance. Do I remove the sub frame spupport on the rear and the mount in the way if the bolt on the front? The front is very close but the rear isn't. Any advice would be great. I'm going to get it all together in thee morning

Get a shiny prybar out. loosen the rear sumframe bolt (But do not take it out, just loosen about half way) and pry down, you'll be able to get the bolt out then.

the front straight lower control arm has enough clearance to come out, Id just use that same prybar to pryout the bolt, and then pry down the arm. Only the banana shaped lower has that bolt clearance issue.

Thanks for the info militant. The front one is still super tight and will need some coaxing to get it, but the rear was the biggest problem. I'll try it out in the morning and post some finished pics.

What I did for the rear arm bolts was support the rear of the subframe by a jack after breaking the bolts loose, then I undid the subframe brace and all the rear bolts and slowly lowered the jack until I could get enough clearance. This way I got the bolts on both sides out no problem.

So i fir another problem. I out everything together and the posts on the ball joint in the front sticks way to far out of the knuckle. The nut bottoms out before the the knuckle. Wrong arm? What to do?
