Don't fix something that ain't broken!! You'll get enough things to fix in due time, it's an Audi.

LOL. I agree!! I've never actually had them do anything there other than oil changes. I can easily do them myself but I like a second "expert" (hah!) opinion on the DIYs I've done and the condition of my car, so I take it there twice a year or so and then usually do the recommended work myself after consulting AF. Not so much money. ...They do charge $100 tho!!! lol.

ughhh....lol. I can't stand the maintenance on these cars. I love Audi to death but wtf!! lol.

So I guess I'll just do the bushings in the rear and I won't do the tie rods there either. Worst case scenario, if who ever does my alignment bitches about the rear having too much play then I'll worry about doing something about it.

THANKS!! you guys saved me many hours of frustration and $1000 +.

I just (tried) to do my whole front end. Got the right side done and gave up due to the pinch bolt and struts. Final total for everything was:

Don't expect to get the deal I got on the CA - so add $300 to the total

1. FEBI full control arm kit off ebay $499.95 -%30 for using Live.com Additional %10 from Paypal. I also sold the TRE's and Sway bar links so take another -$100 - total price $200
2. ATE rotors and Mintex pads from MJM Autohaus (front and rear)$225
3. Monroe Sensa-trac Struts from Rockauto.com (front and rear)$275.17
4. A set of OEM sport springs from a zine member $50

$500 for Labor
$65.99 for a 4 wheel alignment
$20.83 for shop supplies/disposal
$587.32 Total
$1390 for a (mostly)complete new front and rear

This was an amazing change. Before I could wiggle the front wheel when it was up on jacks and now it is rock solid. The car doesn't make any noises when going over bumps etc like it did before. It so tight it was worth every penny.

don't give up on the pinch bolts. if you're doing them all anyway, hit the upper control arms with a Sawzall, put the spindle in a vise and cut off/drill out the pinch bolts. this is just a nuts and bolts job. try to get the TREs close so you don't destroy the tires on the way to the alignment shop. a good local alignment shop should get you for about $70.

crank the radio, crack some beers and get to work. it'll feel great when you're rolling in a straight line for about ten miles with no steering input.
