Default Codes after engine bay cleaning

So much after i cleaned the engine bay area. Yes i did use water!! I took the car for a spin, 15 minutes drive. No problems no symptoms. I came back left the car under the sun with the hood open. A few hours later. Start the car...CEL, idle is not good. And the cherry on top of that The EPC light is on. Great!! Also my boost guage is at 10 inHG at idle. But i suppose this is normal under the circumstances.

I got 3 codes

17953
P1545
Throttle Pos.Contr Malfunction

17966
P1558
Throttle Actuator Electrical Malfunction

17967
P1559

Idle Speed Contr.Throttle Pos. Adaptation Malfunction

What should i look for?

looks like you messed something up on your throttle body. try clearing the codes, disconnecting the battery, reconnect it and do a TBA. if that doesn't fix it, you might have fried something electrical, im not too familiar w/ dbw.

I would check the connection at the throttle body... i had a forge 004, kept causing my epc lightto come.

don't disconnect the battery if you don't have the radio code. otherwise, basically what chaos said lol

ok, here is the thing. I did a full clean up on TB, checked the connections... so i think my TB is toast. I also did what chaos recommended.

Do i need to change all of the TB of only the electrical part?

update

After cleaning the hell out of the TB it wouldnt do. It threw codes..

After 2 days, i did a last adaptation with VAGCOM, just before i decided to buy an used TB. So after the adaptation. NO more codes. Nothing.

Conclusion: next time ill let the engine bay dry, AND protect some parts as the TB and some wires.

New problem: the flexible on the exhaust just gave up on me!!(has nothing to do with the cleaning)

Dont we love our cars????

lol good thing you decided to do that last TBA

and a broken flex just means you'll have to upgrade your exhaust[8D]
