Default Clutch time

Well was able to pick up my new custom CM clutch kit and my rebuilt transmission. Already installed the clutch, just waiting to get the transmission back in the car. Still need to order some Redline MT90 gear oil.

FX850 Super Single Sintered Iron drag clutch

Disk/flywheel

Rebuilt cryo/heat treated hybrid 01A transmission.

Will be using a CM Flow Control Valve and USP Motorsports SS clutch line with Metal slave conversion kit to see if I can keep this transmission together longer then 1 pass.

Can no one build you a tranny that will hold the power that your putting down? I bet that 1-2 shift is crazy on all your drivetrain

My guess is because there would be no where to actually mount it to the bell housing. THis is why our cars have a fork and external slave.

No there isn't. The shop that built mine was trying to see about making a special cuff that goes in place of 5th gear and would basically keep the 2 shafts from pulling away from each other. But they decided that it wasn't worth the time since they would have to machine down both shafts to make it work.

The 01E transmission is stronger, but the taller gears in that transmission will make a 1.8t slower. Plus the rest of the driveline needs to be swapped too.

Now only if someone made a 01E transmission with a 3.89 final and shorter 1st-4th gear. Maybe a hybrid 01E transmission with the Allroad 1st/2nd and 3.89 final with the rest of the gears out of a B5 S4 2.7t 01E. Even better would be those but in the 01E 5 speed. lol

Only other option is the 01E since I am AWD. That is the transmission that the 1000hp quattro cars run.

I gave up on the twin last year after blowing 2 transmissions, pulled it out and sold it. I was trying to go with a single sprung disk setup but after they made it they told me that it is not possible to make a sintered iron sprung disk. This is one of the reasons I have to try using the flow control valve.

If I like the control valve I can always go to a twin sintered iron setup.
