I'll be honest I have no idea where the big bundle of wires goes once it leaves the door. Sounds like you have a short or a dead wire someplace though

alright so heres the update. i did some searching on audizine also and a lot of epople were saying to check the module that is in the trunk under the carpet behind the passenger side tail light. so i did that took it out. and it looks like there is some corrosion on the board from water. and the foam piece protecting it was also wet. so i took some alcohol based cleaner that we use at work for a lrage printer. cleaned the mother board plugged it in and it still doesnt work. so im thinking that is it just done. but i was wondering if after doing all this do i need to reset the circuit breaker or anything like that. or also anyone know where i can get another module from??

I'd say look for one at your local junk yard, then if there isn't a B5 there, try ebay. junk yard is your best bet, though.
