tip- i would custom make an intake for under 200, but you can also buy a pre-made TIP for 250 and use the stock airbox

thats a little over 3 grand to go from a stock a4 to a gtrs setup. but if you got a unitronics chip now, you'll get the chip and dv now. then you can upgrade the exhaust and get a fmic and mbc while you are just chipped. then you'll be more ready for a BT setup in the future and it'll be cheaper. only 2230 to be exact. even less if you sell your stock parts. and if you ever wanted to upgrade to a 71r elim, it would be really cheap.

now lets consider you doing the GIAC route. you do the same thing as before, get chipped and dv now, you can get an exhaust, fmic, and mbc while your chipped, and then to go pc16, you'll spend another ~1400. So there's an $800 difference between 250hp and over 300hp. and the k04 can't hold that power to redline, but it spools faster.

 

If I do the GIAC now then the front mount mount and exhaust, I thought the turbo was $800 and the p16 file with the injectors is $200? So that makes it $1000, what am I missing here thats bringing the price up to $1400? Also what is a tip? If I were to ever go B6 is any of this stuff still useable?

 

it seems like want some HP i wouldnt go with the K04 i installed mine about a month ago and i already want to go BT i mean dont get me wrong its great to boost to 22 psi but yeah your still not going anywhere "fast"

I just went on unitronics.com but they dont have any prices! or ordering info, tried calling them but I had to leave a message, also emailed them. How much is the untronics chip? I was thinking about ordering it tomorrow so I can have my cpu back by friday! cant wait!

^there's a few unitronics reps on vortex if you can't get a hold of them. i dont know of any dyno's for their k03 file but their BT files kick *** so im sure there k03 file is the same as apr and giac. I'm almost certain their chip is the same price too.

and I, like SuprA4, have gotten tired of my k04, its not that much greater than the k03


310cc injectors and adjustable FPR. you only get the pc16 file for 200, that doesn't include the injectors

i have one of the eliminator kits and it is amazinly fun actually and thatnks agian choas, i wasn't sure about a chip either and i had totally forgot about Unitronics, im going to go with them.

Just got a reply from untronics! the guys says they flash the ecu through the obd port and theres two dealer half an hour away and another in the same town that I work in! Program is $500 for stage 1 and $550 for stage 1+ but I think the stage 1+ is only 2001 cars. Thers Performancemotorworkz.com , swiftmotorsports.com , and namotorsports.net anyone ever dealt with these companies? Any recomendations? If I can go with the 1+ for $550 I think I'm gonna do that one!
