Wow this is awesome! Getting more and moreexcited about chipping! I live in CT, What are elims? modified versions of Garrett turbo's that use the stock flange so they retain the same manifold and downpipe. https://www.audiforums.com/m_816714/tm.htm (sorry for all the stupid questions) Is unitronics a store or a brand of turbo? They are a very large tuning company who offer one of the best BT files for the b5. they also have a k03 file that is pretty much the same as giac/apr and when you switch to their BT file you get a discount if you have their k03 file. What is "wm?" water/meth how much power can you get out of a k04 maxing out around 250hp and how much does a elims cost on average? Thanks guys for all your help! Really apreciate it!
and the cost of the elims will depend on how much you have done to your car already and which elim you go with. anywhere from 2 to 4 grand.

As for Revo chips I know other places sell them but this is the first one Google gave me - link
acollicott what are you averaging for gas mileage with your GIAC? Looks like I can get good mileage with apr but I havent really gotten too much input on gas milegae for GIAC. Also I know I am going to upgrade to front mount intercooler and bigger turbo in the future. I want something bigger than the k04 though because the chip will bring me at 200hp and if the k04 can only got to 250hp then I might as well spend the extra $ and get one of the gt turbos that can handle 300hp. Correct me if I'm wrong

everyone's programs are very similar, so they're all gona have similar gas mileage. its really gona all come down to how heavy your foot is. if your boosting alot your gona get crappy mpg, if you stay out of boost you'll get better mileage than stock.

if your getting an elim in the future you should go with Unitronics

Hey guys, don't mean to bite off of this thread, but since we are on the topic of chipping. I have just sent me ECU in to INMotiong Tuning to get chipped because they were the only company willing to send the ECU back to an APO address overseas since I am stationed in Germany. (I would have got it chipped in Germany if the cheapest chip wasnt 800 Euros, around 1500 dollars or so basically) So what I am asking is has anyone used INMotion? If so, satisfied? Thanks a bunch.

inmotion is the same as speedtuning. nobody has dyno'd one yet, but they are still decent.

and i like the car DavidTurbo, especially the rims. nice choice. do the clear corner mod tho, makes it look much cleaner.

Thanks Chaos,I looked up the mod and it looks a little scary to take a drill to the headlights!lol It definatly would look good though. So back on my chip thing, to be realistic I researched the bt's more and theres no way I could get one done for under $2500. Having said said that I think I would go with the k04 ($800) and the p16 ($200) exhaust and do the front mount cooler and I should be set right? should be good for about 200 at the wheels or 250 crank boosting about 21lbs. please correct me if I'm wrong or if I'm missing something because thinking about all this (back to the chip) I would benefit more from a GIAC chip. So thats what I was going to do. Let me know thanks
