when i hit a big bump i'll bump off the bump stops so i won't blow the struts. auditech79 said that for the years he's worked at the dealership he's yet to see a blown strut from a b5. personally i don't mind if i do blow them because it would give me a an excuse to get bilsteins lol. also they don't bounce a ton but just a lot of chassis twist from the stiffness of the springs.
if you drove it though, you would be like wow. i met up with a couple friends earlier today, one who has a S2k on tein springs. well we weren't racing but i was just showing him how my car can corner and it blew his mind away. i literally left him behind from the corner entrance. i also had a passenger. he pulled on me on the highways cuz he's got 240 at the crank and he is much lighter. and from my persuasion they are both looking into a B5 hehe.

the bump stops are about 4 inches high and it's located on your strut between where the shaft of the strut goings into the tube and the upper part of the strut. it definitely is very strong. it's a piece of rubber and if you beat on it, it'll break but i won't be beating on it constantly lol. since my car is so responsive these days, avoid things on the ground is no biggy
