Cheapest Way to 250HP
Hey,
Before you reply, yes I searched and yes I'm probably an idiot but I'm new(er) here so cut me a break.
I have BONE stock 2001 a4 1.8qm. The head has just been rebuilt and all valves replaced, timing belt replaced, and brand new k03s installed (no, I did not pay for the k03, it was done under warranty)
I have not driven any high performance/powerful cars so I'm not looking to make 600 hp like everyone on here seems to be asking for. I have a limited budget and would like to be making ~250 horsepower with some mods. What are your recommendations to make this power in a reliable, yet relatively inexpensive and easy to do way. DIY would be much preferred but I have no automotive hands-on experience and would be willing to pay for labor or better yet make some audi/vw friends in my area and get local help. I am on here reading all I can and know of most of the typical mods done (k04/bt/bat, fmic, test pipe, exhaust, etc.)
Thanks for helping out a newbie
p.s. - we have emissions testing in ohio so I think a test pipe is out of the question
