Hi All,
Not to sure if i am posting in the right place, so apologies if i'm wrong as i am new to this forum thing, I am Looking for any help at all on a problem i have with my 1998 audi a4 1.6 litre, My central locking system gave up on me about a month ago and since i dont have the funds to fix it at the moment i am just using the key to open the car, problem is that i only got one key with the car from the guy i bought it from and it will not open the boot, i have tried to pull the seats down in the back but it seems that they are just not meant to be put down :-( its just impossible to get into for me, s if any body has any idea on an alternative way to open the boot i would greatly appreciate the help..
Hope you guys can help me out

sounds like he gave you the valet key
w/o the central locking pump there's no way to unlock the trunk with the key or key fob. However, i seem to recall reading about a guy on here who crawled into the trunk through the back seat, took the carpet lining off the trunk lid and jimmied it open that way. in lieu of buying a whole new pump, you could buy a re-build kit if you think you could do the work?
