Default CEL And Need to Know Next Step

Hey all, I have a 2000 Audi A4 B5 2.8L Quattro Avant and have a CEL that I need to know what the next step is. If it makes any difference, my car does have a stage 1 tune.

CEL code is P1118 from what i got from my scanner, and says that it has to do with 02 sensor. (Picture of code attached to this post.) So what I need to know is if it is a pre-cat or post-cat 02 sensor (even though post cat 02 sensors have been removed from the coding and car and has been running great for 1 year) and what needs to be done. Replacement 02 sensor or some other odd fix?

It smells like it is running rich but that is not for sure, can give any other details if asked.

Appreciate the help!

Yeah sensor 2 of any bank (in this case your passenger side) is the rear one. Not sure why it would give an error if they're coded out of the ecu. If there's nothing there to replace you can't do that, so you'll have to take a look at the ecu right? Not sure sorry man. Hopefully somebody else has some better insight.

Thanks for the info elduderino200, I really appreciate that.

Well my best guess as to what might have happened is the code came on right after an automated car wash, and my rear 02 sensors are located by my battery (where I put them when I had the ECU flashed and catz removed) and wondering if they got wet. Not sure why that would have changed anything since they are coded out in the ECU but I will have to let them dry out and check.

Anybody else have thoughts on the subject?

They're just sitting by your battery and are still connected? Yeah it sounds like they may have got wet and are sending weird signals to the ECU. If there's any way you can get a replacement that may actually work. Or can you reach to the connection point and remove it, clear the code, then try again?
