car shaking when pressing brakes on highway

Default car shaking when pressing brakes on highway

Hello everybody, When im driving my car on the highway it will sometimes shake when i press the brakes, this would happen if im going over 60 , and when i say shake i mean the steering wheel and the front would start to, you can also hear a kind of grinding sound coming from the front, if anybody has any ideas please post

yea your rotors are fubar... replace now or pay for body damage later.. and bout 90% sure u have to get alignment done now too

not if its too bad... legally u can only resurface them up to a certain point.. but like i said if they are warped too bad there is no saving them, i tried resurfacing my roommates ex's rotors on her civic si and they were so fucked up it was gonna go about 5mm past anything safe jsut to get them even again so i just donated them to my class and had her buy new ones

Before buying rotors, pull the slider bolts out of the calipers, wire-brush them smooth, and coat them with grease. You may have corrosion or crap in there that's keeping them from sliding smoothly. It may help, may not. But it'd be cheap and easy to try and may save you unnecessary expenditures.

imthedevil... jsut curious.. but what is your first pic supposed to be? i always see an "X" then ur car then rim... so whats the first pic?

It's a picture of a tattoo of mine - a rat peeking out of my *** lol

Just kidding of course - it was a front quarter shot of my car. I'm not sure why it doesn't show anymore but I'm changing my sig pretty soon so I haven't bothered to fix it.

ill get them checked out, I had my brakes changed about a year ago and I thought he also changed the rotors ill go on monday and talk to my mechanic and see
