Car randomly dies but stars up like nothing is wrong.
Hello, I am having a bit of an issue that I cannot figure out.
I have a 1998 Audi A4 2.8 Quattro 5 Speed.
Sometimes out of random, the Audi will just die while driving. A few of the interior cluster lights will illuminate (like when your key is on the "on" position but not yet cranked) but I can just crank the key and the car starts right back up and I go about my way.
This tends to occur when I am making a turn, slowing down and has also occurred on the fast lane on the highway as well so I cannot pinpoint what condition is causing it.
I have a brand new battery plus my alternator and starter checked out fine. Also, I have a code scanner which showed no codes.
I am lost on what exactly could be the cause of this. I have a little child and it worries me when winter comes around if this would ever occur in the rain/snow.
Thanks for reading.

1. You say you have a code reader, but I'm guessing it's an OBD reader. If you could get it scanned by a VAG-COM you might learn more.
2. But I'd really take a good look at the grounds. They're all over, but I have to wonder if one of them is corroded/intermittent.
