Car hesitation... Vag code! help.
Hey. I own a 1997 Audi A4 Quattro. It's a 1.8l turbo 5 speed manual.
It has a Borla complete exhaust, K&N airfilter, and a MTM chip in it. THAT IS ALL.
The car has been running funny lately, hesitating when a lot of torque is needed. I changed the plugs, changed the air filter, changed the fuel filter, cleaned the injectors and changed the oil. Nothing.
I bough a vag-com ebay kit and ran the auto search. I got one code:
Address 01: Engine
Controller: 8D0 907 557 N
Component: 1.8L G1/5VT HoSp HS D05
Coding: 06201
Shop #: WSC 06435
1 Fault Found:
17963 - Charge Pressure: Maximum Limit Exceeded
P1555 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
Readiness: 0000 0000
.
1. First off, whats this mean?
2. Second off, what do I do to fix my car?

RE: Car hesitation... Vag code! help.
It means you overpaid for your MTM chip LOL! No really it means that the engine management is seeing an overboost in the system, its a static fault so just erase it and see if it ever comes back. Probably won't.
