wow, that sucks! I'm glad it wasn't any worse for you.

I guess now you know that your car would rather burn it self to the ground than listen to TOOL though.

those dont go out without a fight usually
your car is so beautiful i think i would cry for you if you would have lost it

Yeah my amp switch wiring in the A6 was loose and touched negs and pos. and started on fire. Luckily I always got a 1/4 ratchet and a few sockets so I unbolted the battery cables before ... that happened. Lol. I know it sucks but at least your whole electrical harness didn't fry.

Cost me about $8 bucks for a new battery cable, but that's it.

Quite the contrary. She was just trying to light up and enjoy the ride

Anyone currently have an extinquisher installed in their car, and if so, got pics? I'm looking for mounting suggestions when i go and purchase one.

I always install an extinguisher in my cars but I havent with my Audi yet. I will give it a look see tomorrow and if I find a good mounting spot I will mount it up and post pics. Good to hear that the damage was minimal, I see these cars on the side of the rode all the time burning out of control and just think to myself that if they had an extinguisher it might be fine.

wow man you definitely got lucky that you were able to put it out...now I'm going to check my fuseholder thats connected to my batt....just to make sure nothing like this will happen

Wow. Good to hear you and the car are alright. I'm not lyin I might have actually crapped in my pants lol. +1 on the extinguisher mounting ideas i never even thought of that.

wow, lucky you caught the fire early that is probably the prettiest 2.8 ive ever seen. would have been a shame to loose her.

sexy *** car, glad it wasnt worse than that. for there being a fire under the hood thats about as good as it couldve gone.
