it was the the low oil signal the little canister with oil dripping

 

when i braught the car home today, i did not get the low oil flashing, all i had was a steady check engine light, and the overheat, also at what tempeture is the oil suppose to be at? cuz mine is almost hitting the halfway point, before all this happened it was just one notch up from the first line.

 

The red oil can light is for low oil pressure. Low oil will bring up a warning in the cluster that says "low oil" IIRC. You're using full synth and changing it often, I hope...
