you can tone down the sensitivity of the sensors via vag-com!
Can someone post how this is done? I've searched and can't find it.

Also, my wife's car alarm keeps going off and I would like to know which sensor is tripping it off so I could either fix the switch or tone down the sensitivity (if it's the motion sensor) if possible.

well, do you have access to vag-com??

...I cant remember off the top of my head but I think its in "central locking" then go to read the fault codes and it'll tell you what has triggered the alarm. but you might wanna clear them so you can start from scratch, if not it'll probably list every single time the alarm went off (at least since the last time you cleared them)

to adjust the sesitivity, go to
>"Int. monitoring"
>>"adaptation"
>>>channel 01
>>>>enter a value between 50 & 100 (100 being the most sensitive, also should be 100 by default)

hope that helps, lmk if you got anymore questions!!

Yeap! I got the VAG-COM. As soon as I hooked it up, I saw where to do it. Looks like it's the hood switch that's causing my wife's issues. Time to clean/fix it....
