Default can't find wheels that look good?

Well at first glance, I thought my BLACK 1999 A4 would look good with any kind of black wheel with a chrome bevel (i believe thats what its called)

Then I saw this

My personal opinion is that it looks cheap, and I would rather keep mine stock than have that.

But at some point i do want new wheels. Mine look alright, but I want something that stands out more, but still fits my car. Can someone direct me to a better look?

I think it looks cheap because the car is sitting on its stock suspension. The car can pull it off better if it was lowered.

And black car with black wheels is overplayed. You should get silver for some contrast or go the different route and choose some obnoxious color.

And silver wheels, which what I prefer over black on black cars.

And the "chrome bevel" is also referred to as "polished lip".

Best of luck!

Ah, polished lip sounds farmiliar, thats what I meant to say

And I agree about the black wheels, there are too many people trying to "black out" their cars and they are all starting to look the same. At first it was cool but it got old.

I think the color of the stock wheels i have now don't look bad, its just that I dont think they have enough spokes on them. I was considering replacing them with these

or
http://www.konigwheels.com/Konig-Hom...-2010/KILOGRAM
both are reasonably cheap...at least compared to other brands ive seen.

Another thought i had was to do a completely "out there" color like neon orange or green, but i think that would make the car look cheap.

Always good to plan ahead and do a lot of research.

I prefer the second set over the first. Perhaps get 18X9.5 and stretched the tires?

I prefer grey/ silver wheels on our black cars. My two favorites are the RS4's and the RS4 DTM's.

Here is my car with my 18" RS4 DTM's:

You can find these and the RS4's, along with others that look good on black B5's here:

Im agreeing with you there, the color combo is good compared to all black. I dont think chrome works too good with this car though.
