I just bought a 2001 A4 quattro. It has the stereo with a CD/Cassette and a changer in the trunk. I really impressed with the quality. I want in dash GPS and an MP3 player that reads SD cards. I saw that Audi offer this as an option and I found some cheep at salvage yards.

My questions are: I'mm guess that any navigation system from 2000 must be really primitive. Is this system any good? Also, will one of these systems just plug into my car or do I need to buy some extra parts? What about the GPS antenna?

if you figure this out let me know how you did it. i have an 01 a4 and have the navigation dvd drive for the trunk and controler for in the car but dont know how to wire it in, or were the wiring harness is, or if i need any adapters
