I dont think you can make transmission shift faster without making changes to clutches, and best case scenario you would save 0.1-0.2 seconds to 60. Whats the difference between 0-60 in 7.7 and 7.5 sec? Not much. Try loosing 20 pounds and remove a spare for better results

so... you have a 1999 Audi A4 2.8L....do you have quattro or FWD?

your car can be a beast if you want it to be....here are your options

a tip chip will increase shift speed

if you want to increase the power delivered by your motor you have two options....

you can run a 75-100lb. shot of nitrous ($750 said and done)

or you can pick up a pes supercharger (about $5k)

either way you will pick up a ton of power....but with this power you will need something called a level ten transmission upgrade....so that your automatic can handle the increased power....

you can get intake and exhause and speedtuning or giac makes a chip for the 2.8...but you prolly wont end up with more than another 15bhp....

alright....if it was my car, and I wanted something fast and moddable I would trade in for a 1.8t with quattro and a manual trans....

 

i was thinking on change to the a4 1.8. but, i just got my 2.8 a month ago, i'll probably wait and i'll get a newer model and then i'll fix it, i've heard that its cheaper and better to fix a 1.8. thankyou for the help...

 

when i said shift faster i was implying the 0.01 of a second its not going to be a huge or even a noticable gain..i have heard about the transmission codes that you can change with a vag-com, the dealership puts it into this "sport" mode when they take it out and test drive the car but by the time you get the car back its back in the original mode.
