Default Calling all Efficiency Experts!

Afterpaying $4.15/gal at the pump the other day, I'm becommingless and less thrilled to see the kind of mileage my 2.8q gets. If anyone who knows of any products or nifty tricks (not including tips on driving style - I didn't get and Audi to go 55) for increasing the mileage of an a4 please speak it now, because I can't take much more of this price gouging.

Also, peoplewho have completedspecific mods, what kind of improvements do you see, and at what costs?(both in $$ and in power/performance/reliability/etc )

strip your car down, tape all the seems of the car up. keep windows up, ac off. learn to draft cars infront of you. go down hill both ways. find a way to latch onto the car infront of you and sneek a tow

taking the lead out of your shoes is the only thing thats going to help you. power and speed are the opposite of economy.

My 2.8 gets 25/30 mpg's (with stock intake/ muffler). During the winter I was getting 21/25 mpg's with the winter blend. I am back up to 27/3*with the last 2 fill upsand I get on it quite a bit. I'm getting ready to do my fuel filter and E3 plugs so hopefully it goes up more.

I've been getting similar number to LowA4 in my 2.8qm, which is a few mpg better than my I4 Toyota Tacoma.[sm=WTFsgign.gif]

well a buddy of mine who also has a 12v shifts at 2k instead of 3k or higher and gets around 400 miles to the tank city. given you start off slow but ive noticed when im doing highway driving as long as i stay at around 70 (really you dont need to go faster, youll end up paying more for tickets) i get over 30MPG.
