Exclamation Cabin Vibration @ 1800-2200 rpm

I am new to the Audi Forum. I am seeking advise on what might be the problem.

1996 Audi A4 5spd 2.8 102,XXX.

I am having a bad vibration in the cab of the car at 1800-2200 rpm. It doesn't matter what I do (In gear out of gear. Clutch in, Driveing it down the road.) As soon as I hit the rpm mark it vibrates. The owner I bought it from told me that they did the timing belt no clue if they didn't a shop did.

What I have done so far
I have replaced some of the vacum lines, Cleaned EGR vaule.

This weekend I am going to clean the throttle body and MAF.

Codes I did get
P0401 Insufficient flow in the exhaust gas recirculation system
P0154 O2 Bank 2 Senor 1 no activite

I will reset the codes and nothing will change.

I was told it might be a flywheel or harmonic balencer.

Please advice and help me out as I can not take it to audi for repairs.

Thank you

could be as simple as your wheels being out of balance. when was the last time they were rotated and balanced? are they aftermarket wheels? do they have hubcentric rings? does it vibrate if its in gear and coasting past that RPM range, or only if you are on the gas?

on a side note, if you dont have proof that the previous owner did the timing belt (reciepts with milage), i would do it again right now. if they lied and said they did it 3k miles ago, and it snaps- you are the one who is going to be out several thousand $$, not them.

Thank you for the quick responce, but I meant it as when I am not moving I get the same problem. No matter what I am doing moving sitting at a red light. Once I hit that mark in RPM the cab rumbles. If I am standing at the engine I can not hear it and it doesn't look like it is vibrating that bad. Tills me that it is not an egine mount problem.
