Buying an B5 A4

Buying an B5 A4
So I'm interested in buying an A4 from a dealership possibly in the next few days. Heres a few facts about it:
-Selling price: $3399 (I want to buy it for $3100)
-143,000 miles
-5spd
-Quattro
-Carfax shows all maintenance has been done by Audi dealership
-Timing Belt replaced at 70,000 miles
-Few exterior cosmetic issues but thats irrelevant
I always do routine maintenance on my vehicles and I really want an A4. I do plan on doing mods for this car just bolt ons to start with but eventually I want to BT the car with a GTRS. Would BT'ing the A4 be a problem with the amount of miles it has. Plus it would probably be a while before I had enough money to buy everything for the turbo upgrade and this A4 would be my DD.

Just as a rule I wouldn't buy my base car for anything less then 5gs and with less then 120k miles. Starting with a cheaper car will most likely bite you in the *** in the near future, things like control arms, bushings, brakes, power steering pump and rack and pinion, valve gasket, and worst of all the turbo is likely to go with that many miles. Depending on your knowledge of mechanics if you can do this stuff yourself you may have yourself a good deal. Just keep in mind you're getting what you pay for and that audi was worth over 30gs at one point
