Default Buying Advice

Hey guys,
I recently wrecked my 95' BMW E34 530i V8 5spd. And am looking for a replacement. My friend drives an 08' MKV Gti and recommended Audis/Vdubs. I really like the tunability of the A4 1.8ts with Revo and all the ECU flashing and such. I really want a car that can be transformed into a beast with the least effort and money. The problem is, I have a budget of like 6grand or less. Advice?

6 grand will get you a decent a4. that leaves zero for mods. your gonna need more money. if you want a "beast" you will need AT LEAST 5 g's more

6 grand is just the budget for the car, my mod budget is more, I just can't seem to find that perfect a4. I guess I'll just have to keep looking lol

Well if you want to go Revo tuning you will need to buy a 01 if you are looking for a B5 A4 1.8t. If you are looking to turn it into a "beast" and want to save some money doing it give me a call.

APR and REVO are not the same company.

Revo mainly tunes the wide band 02 cars and for the B5's that means 2001 and newer.

yea I guess. I just thought that APR and Revo tuned kind of the same stuff. Regardless I guess an 01' B5 A4 is what I'm looking for then. That significantly makes my search harder haha

What other car would you recommend that I can do the same kind of Revo tuning with. My friend has a MkV Gti thats stage 2 revo and that's the kind of thing I want, however those are way out of my price range. MkIVs are just slow *** heavy ***** so idk about them, but it seems like they're more easily available than an 01' A4 5spd with lowish miles...

your not gonna get a 01 tqm with low miles for 6 grand. i paid 6500 for mine (a 01 tqm) with 115k in really good condition for that many miles. it might be better you go with the vw
